The Morena Farm has 720 hectares planted
where the company works with irrigation
, using the integrated handling of
insects, rational defensives, preservation
techniques for the soil with low operational
costs and impact on nature.
Likewise, the Bonanza Farm has 1.620
hectares, making use of the same work
principles These principles are part
of all production chains operated by
this company.
This region has a privileged supply
base to develop this product. The areas
of consumption nearby and the integration
with the manufacturers is very efficient.
The consumption of the subsidiary products
such as cotton pits, used for animal
food and biofuel manufacturing among
other products constitutes a huge market
in which the company also performs
well.

Agropecuaria
Arakatu produces the renown Carioca beans, consumed
in most parts of the country, and also the macaçar/caupi variety
which is consumed in the North and Northeast regions of Brazil.
With the introduction of more productive and resistant varieties
together with the application of advanced technology the company
achieves excellent results.
The area dedicated to the bean crop is now about 240 hectares, which
includes operation of three new central irrigation pivots just installed
in Morena Farm. For Arakatu, bean culture is very important, since
this crop also helps to prepare the soil for the other crops that
will be grown in the future.

Agropecuaria
Arakatu is working today with 480 hectares of arabica
coffee and is in process of expanding
its activities. Shortly, it will achieve 1.440 hectares
of arabica coffee that will be totally irrigated
and will use the most modern technologies available
for cultivating natural Arabica coffee.
This company wants to bring excellent quality coffee
to the Brazilian market. Therefore, it has decided
to create an industrial division for coffee produced
by Morena Farm. Counting on largely experienced coffee
professionals, it established Arakatu Torrefação
Ltda or Arakatu Roasting and Grounding in Luis Eduardo
Magalhães, Bahia in the beginning of 2007.
This organization processes pure coffee, with West
Bahia standard coffee features, providing the opportunity
for consumption of a drink of extremely high quality.
The production and design of new blends of coffee
are being developed with attention and dedication.
Arakatu Torrefação has the mission
to give "the maximum quality of natural coffee to
the consumer".
